I understand about 80% of waht I read.
1.Choose two of the characters in the book that you are reading and compare how they are similar and contrast how they are different.
The book is talking about the auther, the Starbucks CEO,how to owned his company, and extended Starbucks over the world. Because the book is the author's story, I just focus on the author,Howard, and his business partner, Jerry.
Howard isn't afraid of change. Even though he already had a great job, he decided to transfered his career to coffee right away when the first time he sipped the espresso in Pike Place Market. At first, he tried to pursuad Jerry as a business parter, but Jerry was hesitated. He thought that was too more risky. Howard never gave up. Ultmately, Jerry accepted his invitation. Howard also has a lot of ambition. In contrast,Jerry is a conservative guy. Once Howard wanted to change the sales type on Starbucks, but Jerry thought that it doesn't need to change. This shows that the two person are very different.
2.Why did you choose these two people? Are you similar to either one of them? How are you similar? How are you different?
Because they are the main characters in this book. Even thouugh they are partner, they are extremely different. That is interersting. I think I'm like Jerry more. Because I'm very hesitated when I have to make a desicion. And I'm afraid of change, that make me insecurity.
